3/28 Big Z: “Let’s get it on”
Carlos Zambrano tuned up for the regular season by pitching five innings against the Indians on Monday and overlooked some plays that weren’t made behind him.
“This is Spring Training,” said Zambrano, whose next start for the Cubs will be Saturday at Wrigley Field against the Pirates. “I want to worry about what happens in that little circle. I want to worry about what I do.
“There’s nothing I can do when people don’t execute double plays or people don’t make plays,” Zambrano said. “My job here is to pitch and not to criticize or do any other thing. Just pitch.”
That’s a good sign by Zambrano, who missed time last season when he was ordered to undergo anger management therapy.
“The most import thing is how I feel, how my arm responds,” he said. “So far this Spring Training, my body has responded good. Let’s get it on. Let’s do what we can do and what we’re capable of doing.”

Quade is doing great and Z is TRYING to control himself. Two mistakes so far. We need bench hitting much more than pitcher handling. Keep 3 catchers just not Hill. I was in Mesa last week and he’s worse at the plate than last year when he stuck out at a .308 average. Also our Notre Dame bonus baby still has a delivery that’s way too long and we should trade him to the Bronco’s were he can be with his buddy Brady on the bench.
I AGREE WITH YOUR COMMENT.WE DON’T HAVE ANY PINCH HITTING OR TEAM SPEED.ITS GOING TO BE TOUGH TO WIN 82 GAMES.44 YEAR CUBS FAN
