This and that:
* The Cubs were the only team in baseball yet to steal a base until Starlin Castro did so Monday in Houston. This was the first time they had not swiped at least one since a 12-game drought to open the 1941 season.
* Carlos Marmol now has finished the last 35 games in which he has appeared, dating to July 26, 2010. It’s the fourth-longest streak in Cubs history. Randy Myers finished 37 consecutive games Aug. 9, 1993-May 30, 1994.
