5/10 Minor League report

Ramon Ortiz gave up seven runs, four earned, on 13 hits over six innings in Iowa’s 8-1 loss to New Orleans on Monday. The I-Cubs were held to four hits, including two by Marquez Smith. Ortiz now is 1-2 with a 3.89 ERA.

Alberto Cabrera gave up two runs on five hits and three walks over six innings in Tennessee’s 10-2 win over Huntsville. DJ LeMahieu had three hits, extending his hitting streak to 10 games.  Jose Vitters had hit sixth multi-hit game of the season.

Justin Bour hit his eighth homer in Daytona’s 11-7 win over Brevard County. The Cubs now are 23-8, third best winning percentage in pro baseball. Bour had three hits nd scored three runs.

Cam Greathouse threw six shutout innings, giving up two hits, in Peoria’s 4-0 victory over Kane County. Arismendy Alcantara had three hits and Matt Szczur extended his hitting streak to six games with two hits.
