5/13 Minor League report
Jay Jackson gave up six runs on nine hits over five innings in Iowa’s 11-5 loss to Colorado Springs in the first game of a doubleheader on Thursday. In the second game, Brad Snyder, Lou Montanez and Bryan LaHair each homered to lift Iowa to a 11-10 win. Bobby Scales had five hits.
Rob Whitenack improved to 3-0 as Tennessee beat Huntsville, 7-5. Whitenack gve up three runs on nine hits over six innings, and now has a 3.13 ERA. Matt Spencer homered, his seventh. DJ LeMahieu extended his hitting streak to 13 games with two hits.
Daytona scored four runs in the 11th to beat Jupiter, 6-2. Logan Watkins had two hits and two RBIs.
Pierre LePage had two hits and two RBIs in Peoria’s 6-2 win over Burlington. LePage is batting .287 this sesaon.
