5/21 Cashner update
Andrew Cashner will see orthopedic specialist Dr. Lewis Yocum next week to get a second opinion on his right shoulder after suffering a setback in his rehab.
Cubs officials say surgery has not been discussed. Cashner has been on the DL since April 6 with a strained right rotator cuff. He was to pitch in an extended Spring Training game in Mesa, Ariz., on Monday but stopped his warm ups when he felt some tightness in his shoulder. An MRI on Tuesday in Chicago showed the right-hander had re-aggravated the injury. Cashner is back to square one in his rehab.
* Randy Wells, who is rehabbing from a strained right forearm, will make his second rehab start on Sunday for Triple-A Iowa. If all goes well, he was penciled in to start for the Cubs either May 27 or May 28 against the Pirates.
