5/21 Minor League report
Steve Clevenger went 4-for-5, hitting a walkoff RBI single to lead Iowa to an 11-10 win over Tucson on Friday. Clevenger hit a solo homer in the sixth and a RBI double in the eighth. Tyler Colvin, playing his second game in Iowa, doubled to lead off the ninth and scored on Bobby Scales’ single to close to 10-9. Scott Moore hit a RBI triple to tie the game and Clevenger then delivered the game winner. Ramon Ortiz started and gave up nine runs, eight earned, on 12 hits over 5 2/3 innings and struck out nine. He did not get a decision and now is 1-2 with a 4.86 ERA.
Matt Spencer went 3-for-3 with two home runs in Tennessee’s 6-5 win over Mobile. He hit a two-run homer in his first at-bat, then another two-run shot in the third. He finished with a RBI single in the seventh.
Junior Lake hit a solo homer and Justin Bour added a RBI single to lead Daytona to a 3-2 win over Palm Beach. Logan Watkins added a sacrifice fly. Nick Struck gave up one earned run on three hits over five innings for the win.
Anthony Giansanti and Greg Rohan both went 2-for-4 with an RBI each in Peoria’s 3-1 win over Clinton. Cam Greathouse threw four shutout innings and did not give up a hit but he walked five.
