6/7 Cubs pick potential Great One

Save No. 99. The Cubs drafted Wayne Gretzky’s son Trevor in the seventh round of the First-Year Player Draft on Tuesday. A left-handed hitting first baseman, Trevor batted .341 with two home runs and 33 RBIs his junior year at Westlake Village Oaks Christian High School (Calif.). He suffered a partially torn labrum in his throwing shoulder in the third game in September and was limited to DH duties his senior year. Last October, he signed a letter of intent to play college baseball at San Diego State. He worked out for the team on Saturday.

perfect another injury prone player… exactly what we need!!

Obviously Hendry has no concerns about injuries or players that can’t field and are relagated to the DH role….oops…SORIANO has the Cubs DH role locked up for another 3 years….oops again…no DH in the NL, somebody tell Hendry. Good luck to the kid. Our only hope now is SOMEBODY other than Hendry knows what they are doing.
