6/8 Johnson, Baker, Soriano to rehab
The Cubs may be getting reinforcements soon. Reed Johnson and Jeff Baker will join Triple-A Iowa on Thursday and play for the Minor League team, part of their rehab before rejoining the Cubs. Alfonso Soriano isn’t far behind, and will join Iowa on Sunday. Baker and Soriano have been working out in Mesa, Ariz., at the Cubs’ extended Spring Training facility. Johnson has stayed with the Cubs. Johnson has been on the disabled list since May 26 with back spasms, Baker has been out since May 29 with a left groin strain, and Soriano has been sidelined since May 31 with a strained left quad. Johnson could be back by the Cubs’ homestand, which starts Monday.

How exactly will Soriano be a REINFORCEMENT? Will he add to the capability of dropping flyballs? Turning singles into extra base hits? Add to the team’s strike outs? Decrease the team’s batting average with runners in scoring positon? He IS far behind even when healthy.
Can’t wait to field a team that will have a middle of the order “punch” of Ramirez, Pena & Soriano again. Not to mention watching Sorian and his blazing speed and strong legs JOG to first. FEAR THE CUBS!!!!
