6/9 Minor League roundup
Triple-A Iowa had Wednesday off but face Round Rock on Thursday. Jeff Baker and Reed Johnson were to join the Minor League team to begin an injury rehab assignment.
Robert Coello gave up one run on three hits over six innings but took the loss as Tennessee dropped a 1-0 decision to Jackson. Josh Vitters extended his hitting streak to seven games.
Aaron Kurcz gave up four runs on five hits over three innings in Daytona’s 4-0 loss to Lakeland. Jake Optiz had a hit, the only one for the team.
Matt Szczur had four hits and four RBIs in Peoria’s 10-9 loss to West Michigan. He’s batting .345 with 20 RBIs this season. Kyung-Min Na had four hits, including two doubles, and one RBI.
