6/10 Minor League report
Brooks Raley gave up three runs, two earned, on seven hits over 6 2/3 innings in Tenessee’s 9-3 win over Carolina. Blake Lalli, Junior Lake and Josh Vitters all homered for the Smokies. Vitters extended his hitting streak to eight games and was batting .278 overall. He had two RBIs.
Four Tennessee Smokies were named to the tentative starting lineup for the North Division in the Southern League All-Star game to be played June 21 at Pringles Park in Jackson. Matt Spencer will bat third and play right field, designated hitter Rebel Ridling will bat fifth, catcher Steve Clevenger will hit sixth and shortstop Marwin Gonzalez will bat ninth.
Evan Crawford had two hits and two RBIs in Daytona’s 4-3, 11-inning loss to Lakeland. Daytona’s Justin Bour was named the Florida State League Topps Player of the Month for May. The first baseman batted .383 with seven homers and 28 RBIs with a 1.083 OPS.
Cam Greathouse gave up one hit and walked six over five innings in Peoria’s 3-1 loss to West Michigan. Greathouse struck out three and is 4-4 with a 3.69 ERA.
