6/13 Wood to DL
The Cubs placed Kerry Wood on the 15-day disabled list Monday, retroactive to June 9, because of a blister on his right index finger. Infielder Jeff Baker, who had been on the DL with a strained left groin, was activated. This is the third time in his career that Wood has gone on the DL because of a blister; it also happened in 2008 and last year.
