7/3 Minor League report
Tyler Colvin had three hits and extended his hitting streak to six games in Iowa’s 9-4 win over New Orleans. Robert Coello threw six shutout innings but did not get a decision. DJ LeMahieu had three hits and two RBIs.
Chris Rusin threw six shutout innings in Tennessee’s 5-4 win over Carolina. Josh Vitters delivered the game-winning RBI with a walkoff RBI single in the 10th. Brett Jackson had three hits.
Jeff Lorick gave up three runs, one earned, on five hits over 5 1/3 innings in Daytona’s 7-3 win over Dunedin. Jae-Hoon Ha and Michael Brenly each had three hits.
Matt Loosen gave up one run on four hits over seven innings in Peoria’s 5-1 win over Burlington. Elliot Soto had three hits.
Benn Wells gave up five runs (four earned) on six hits over four innings in Boise’s 7-2 loss to Yakima. The Hawks committed five errors in the game.
Brian Smith threw five shutout, no-hit innings in Mesa’s 5-2 win over the Rangers. He walked three and struck out four. Dustin Geiger and Blair Springfield each had three hits.
