7/7 Minor League report
Bryan LaHair hit a two-run pinch-hit homer with two outs in the ninth but it was too late as Iowa lost 3-2 to Oklahoma City. The blast was LaHair’s 24th, most in the league. Nick Struck gave up two runs on six hits over 5 1/3 innings. Marwin Gonzalez and Ty Wright each had two hits.
Rebel Ridling hit his 13th homer but it wasn’t enough as Tennessee lost, 3-1, to Montgomery. Dallas Beeler gave up three runs on eight hits over seven innings and took the loss.

The Smokies also announced RHP Matt Loosen has been promoted to the Double-A club. He was a combined 2-0 with a 3.04 ERA at Daytona and Peoria. Lefty Chris Rusin was promoted from the Smokies to Iowa. Rusin was 3-2 with a 3.91 ERA in Tennessee.
Dae-Eun Rhee gave up six runs on six hits over five innings in Daytona’s 7-1 loss to Tampa. Justin Bour did notch his league-leading 63rd RBI.
Eric Jokisch threw six shutout innings but did not get a decision in Peoria’s 3-2 win over Beloit. Ryan Cuneo had three hits.
Luis Liria gave up one run on three hits over six innings in Boise’s 3-2, 12-inning win over Yakima. Reggie Golden had three hits.
Hayden Simpson gave up five runs on five hits and two walks over 2 1/3 innings in Mesa’s 7-4 loss to the Giants. Hunter Ackerman threw 4 2/3 innings of relief, giving up one run on two hits and striking out six.
