8/1 Minor League report

Jay Jackson gave up four earned runs on eight hits over 4 1/3 innings in Iowa’s 5-1 loss to Memphis. Ryan Flaherty drove in the only Cubs’ run with a RBI double.

Ryan Searle gave up one run on seven hits and struck out seven over 7 1/3 innings in Tennessee’s 2-1 win over Birmingham. Jae-Hoon Ha had two hits and Rebel Ridling had one RBI. Rafael Dolis converted his 10th save.

Casey Harman threw seven shutout innings in Daytona’s 3-0 win over Jupiter. Logan Watkins had three hits and one RBIs and Greg Rohan had two hits and one RBIs. Rohan is batting .412 since joining Daytona on July 18.

Elliot Soto hit a two-out RBI single in the 11th but Clinton rallied to beat Peoria, 2-1. Roderik Pichardo threw three scoreless innings of relief, giving up two hits and striking out three.

Austin Reed gave up three earned runs over five innings in Boise’s 9-4 loss to Everett. Zeke DeVoss, Jesus Morelli and Kenny Socorro each had two hits.

Hunter Ackerman gave up four runs — one earned — on three hits and two walks over four innings in Mesa’s 7-2 loss to the Royals. Darien Martin and Neftali Rosario each had two hits.
