8/5 Minor League report

Nick Struck gave up one run on five hits over six innings in Iowa’s 5-2 win over Fresno. Brett Jackson had three hits, including his fifth home run, and Brad Snyder hit his 10th homer. John Gaub converted his sixth save.

Brooks Raley gave up three runs on 10 hits over five innings in Tennessee’s 4-3 win over Birmingham. Josh Vitters and Jae-Hoon Ha each had two hits. Junior Lake had two hits, scored two runs and stole two bases.

Michael Brenly hit his first homer and Michael Burgess hit his 16th but it wasn’t enough as Dayonta lost, 8-4, to Lakeland. Angel Guzman started and gave up one hit over two innings.

Brett Wallach gave up six runs — two earned — on four hits and three walks over 2 2/3 innings in Peoria’s 8-2 loss to Burlington. Rubi Silva had two hits.

Reggie Golden had three hits and two RBIs to help Boise beat Salem-Keizer, 9-5.
