8/22 Minor League report
J.A. Happ pitched seven shutout innings, holding the I-Cubs to one hit, as Oklahoma City beat Iowa, 4-0, on Sunday. Lou Montanez collected the only hit, a double in the first. Jay Jackson took the loss, giving up two runs on seven hits over six innings. He struck out five.
Jae-Hoon Ha had two hits in Tennessee’s 3-2, 11-inning loss to Chattanooga. Brooks Raley gave up two runs on nine hits over 6 1/3 innings.
Matt Szczur hit two home runs and Jeff Antigua gave up three runs on three hits over six innings in Daytona’s 7-5 loss to Dunedin. Greg Rohan had three hits. Szczur is batting .259, and has a five-game hitting streak.
Taiwan Easterling had two hits in Peoria’s 6-2 loss to Cedar Rapids. Austin Kirk gave up five earned runs on eight hits over 4 2/3 innings.
Wes Darvill had three hits, all doubles, in Boise’s 4-1 loss to Yakima. Austin Reed gave up three earned runs on five hits over four innings.
Pierre LePage had two hits and one RBIs in his first game with Mesa, a 6-5, 11-inning loss to the Mariners. Mesa made five errors in the game.
