8/23 Minor League report

Austin Bibens-Dirkx threw seven shutout innings to help Iowa beat Oklahoma City, 4-0, on Monday. Brett Jackson had two hits, one RBI and stole a base. He’s hitting .313.

Eric Jokisch gave up one run on three hits over six innings and struck out 10 in Tennessee’s 9-2 win over Chattanooga. Rebel Ridling had three hits, a walk, his 20th homer, and drove in four runs. Josh Vitters went 3-for-3 and Jim Adduci had four hits.

Starling Peralta gave up six runs — three earned — on nine hits over four innings in Peoria’s 6-2 loss to Cedar Rapids. Rubi Silva, Richard Jones and Rafael Valdes each had two hits.

Ryan Cuneo hit his fifth home run in Boise’s 9-8, 10-inning loss to Yakima. Zeke DeVoss had four hits, drove in two runs and stole a base.

Mesa lost, 7-1, to the D-Backs. Brian Smith threw three shutout innings. Gloskar Amaya had two hits. Dan Vogelbach went 1-for-4 in his pro debut.
