8/24 Minor League report
Bryan LaHair went 4-for-5 with five RBIs in Iowa’s 14-7 win over Oklahoma City on Tuesday. Alberto Cabrera gave up four earned runs on seven hits over 6 1/3 innings and struck out six. Brad Snyder had three hits and two RBIs and Chris Robinson had two hits and two RBIs. LaHair now is batting .335.
Rebel Ridling extended his hitting streak to eight games with a two-hit night in Tennessee’s 6-4 loss to Chattanooga. Ridling finished with three RBIs. Andrew Cashner started for the Smokies in his first rehab outing, and struck out the first two batters he faced. Then he gave up three straight singles.
Richard Jones hit his 22nd home run, a two-run shot, in Peoria’s 4-3 loss to Cedar Rapids. Rubi Silva had three hits, including a triple.
Paul Hoilman hit his 14th home run in Boise’s 7-6, 10-inning loss to Yakima. Zeke DeVoss went 4-for-4 and Ryan Cuneo extended his hitting streak to seven games.
Gregori Gonzalez had three hits, including his second homer, in Mesa’s 9-8 loss to the D-Backs.
