The same LaHair who isn’t considered to be part of the Cubs’ future like the great Jeff Baker or Blake DeWitt? Two of the handful of players Hendry deemed too valuable to this awful team to trade at the deadline? I say the Cubs just release LaHair (i.e. Casey McGhee), after all with stats like that and being an old man at 28 he has no chance of competing for the first base spot. Those numbers are sooooo beneath the standard of excellece demanded of this organization to keep first base warm, just a pathetic YEAR LONG display of lack of talent on LaHair’s part he should in no way be put in the same league as the Mighty Pena who with his clutch hitting is single handedly brought the Cubs to the brink of…5th place and is well worth at least 10 million a year and dang it, more for 2012!!! Wait a minute… LaHair is actually good you say? Why…I must have been possessed by Jim Hendry to think such thoughts.
