9/8 Cubs Minor League report
Double-A Tennessee opens the best of five North Division Championship Series on Thursday against Chattanooga. The Lookouts took the season series, 13-11. Brooks Raley (8-10, 4.22) was slated to start for Tennessee. The Smokies finished first in the North in the first half but manager Brian Harper said he had a different team in the second half.
“The first half we had the Brett Jacksons, the [Ryan] Flahertys, the [DJ] LeMahieus, the so-called prospects of the organization,” Harper said. “The second half has been more about the Ty Wrights, [Jim] Adducis, [Blake] Lallis and [Steve] Clevengers, the guys who have been here a while.”
