9/9 Cubs Minor League report
Josh Vitters and Blake Lalli each homered to help Tennessee overcome a 5-1 deficit and beat Chattanooga, 9-6, in the first game of the best of five North Division Championship Series. Game 2 is scheduled for Friday. Jim Adduci had three hits, including two doubles, and Jae-Hoon Ha had two hits and one RBIs. Hung-Wen Chen picked up the win in relief.
Daytona scored four runs in the eighth to beat Dunedin, 4-3, and win the North Division Series. The D-Cubs next face St. Lucie in the best of five Florida State League Championship, which starts Friday. Matt Cerda had three hits and one RBIs and Jordan Latham picked up the win in relief. Matt Loosen started, and gave up one run on six hits over six innings, striking out seven.
