9/10 Daytona wins Game 1 FSL championship series
Daytona scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth Friday to beat St. Lucie, 3-1, in Game 1 of the Florida State League championship series. Game 2 will be played Saturday night. The game was delayed in the bottom of the fourth for 2 hours 21 minutes because of rain. Elliot Soto drove in the game winning run with a RBI single in the eighth. Frank Batista picked up his second postseason save, striking out two in one inning.
