9/14 Mark Nov. 3 for Dempster event at The Palm

Ryan Dempster will host a “Strike Out 22q” event at The Palm Restaurant in Chicago on Nov. 3. Proceeds will benefit the Ryan and Jenny Dempster Family Foundation, dedicated to assisting charities and organizations supporting children with a 22q11.2 Deletion (DiGeorge Syndrome or VCFS) as well as other children’s charities in the Chicago area. You can bid on the chance to throw out a first pitch at Wrigley Field among other items. Tickets are available at dempsterfamilyfoundation.org.

Dempster is the Cubs’ Roberto Clemente award nominee for his charitable efforts. In 2010, his foundation’s first year, Dempster was able to award $185,600 in grants to 14 charitable organizations. This July, more than 600 guests attended the second Strike Out 22q Casino Night at the Palmer House in Chicago and raised more than $310,000 for the foundation.
