LaHair went 4-for-4, hitting two home runs and driving in three runs to lift Magallanes Navegantes to a 14-8 win over Zulia in the opener. LaHair, who hit 38 homers for Triple-A Iowa, finished a triple shy of the cycle. first game.

Anybody think Epstein will choose to save MILLIONS of dollars and put LaHair at 1B instead of bringing back the wet noodle Pena? Assuming of course that Fielder/Pujols are also not options because of the price and length of contract. I for one would not want to sit through anohter season watching the great club house presence Pena tread water with a terrible RISP average while adding to his personal home run totals.
