11/3 Winter ball update
Bryan LaHair was 1-for-3 in Magallanes’ 4-1 win over Lara in Venezuelan Winter League play on Wednesday. Former Cubs pitcher Jerome Williams threw six shutout innings for the win, giving up five hits and striking out eight. Catching prospect Steve Clevenger hit a solo homer to account for Escogido’s only run in an 8-1 loss to Aguilas in the Dominican Winter League.
