11/7 Dempster event a success

Ryan and Jenny Dempster and the Dempster Family Foundation raised more than $28,000 last Thursday at their Evening at the Palm in Chicago. Celebrity guests including new Cubs president of baseball operations, Theo Epstein, and new GM Jed Hoyer. The money will go toward the Dempster Family Foundation and other children’s charities in the Chicagoland area. Guests could bid on exclusive travel packages and sports memorabilia, including a one-week vacation at a resort in Aruba Dutch Caribbean and the opportunity to throw out the first pitch before a Cubs game in 2012.
