2/8 Cubs release TV broadcast schedule
The Cubs released the 2012 TV broadcast schedule on Wednesday. All 162 games will be available in high-definition in the Chicago area for the fifth straight season. WGN will televise the Cubs’ April 5 season opener vs. the Nationals from Wrigley Field at 1:20 p.m. CT, and Comcast SportsNet will have its first broadcast the next game, April 7, at 12:05 p.m. CT. WCIU will televise its first game on April 9 when the Cubs host the Brewers at 7:05 p.m. CT. The first game on FOX TV will be April 14 at St. Louis.
Cubs games have been televised by WGN since 1948 and by WCIU since 2000. This will be Comcast SportsNet’s eighth season televising the Cubs. Len Kasper and Bob Brenly are back for their eighth season in the TV booth.
