4/15 Minor League report
Travis Wood struck out seven and gave up three runs on eight hits over five innings in Iowa’s 6-5 loss to Round Rock. Welington Castillo had three hits and one RBI. Brett Jackson hit his second homer in as many games.
Michael Burgess and Logan Watkins each homered in Tennessee’s 5-2 win over Jackson. Brooks Raley got the “W,” giving up two runs on seven hits over seven innings.
Zach Cates gave up eight runs — five earned — on seven hits over 3 1/3 innings in Daytona’s 8-0 loss to Tampa.
Ben Wells gave up three runs on three hits over 5 2/3 innings in Peoria’s 4-3 loss to Wisconsin. Zeke DeVoss had two hits, including a home run, and three RBIs.

Why is Lahair not playing everyday? Average over 300, homerun threat, great potential, this is his chance to shine – but he is not getting the chance he deserves!

well I think part of it is his lingering back issue… he is just getting back to 100% and the staff is being cautious but I mean he has 23 ABs the most of any Cub at 1B so he is our guy… A day off here or there early is just going to keep him in top form. You gotta remember we aren’t dealing with a 22yr old prospect. Lahair is 30…
