Tennessee’s game at Huntsville was postponed because of rain. The two teams were to play a doubleheader on Wednesday.

Francescon started and gave up two runs on three hits and three walks over 3 2/3 innings. Zapata finished with three hits and a stolen base. Yao-Lin Wang picked up the win in relief, throwing two shutout innings. He has seven scoreless innings this season and has given up one hit (opposing batters are 1-for-21).

What did I just previously write about Hayden Simpson? Of all Hendry’s stupid 1st rd choices, this has to be his worst. No wonder other GM’S raised thier eyebrows at this pick.

did I miss something at school??
“Anthony Rizzo had two hits and now is batting .500 (20-for-50).”
I always thought 20-for-50 was .400 instead of .500

6 runs in 2.2 innings. Hayden Simpson, future employee at
his local McDonalds. Slightly better numbers than what he posted
in Rookie Ball, last year.

Simpson’s career got off to a bad start because he came down with mononucleosis after he was drafted, and lost a severe amount of weight. It’s taken a long time for him to get his strength back, and after seeing him in Mesa this spring, he still has a way to go.
