5/7 Minor League report – Sunday’s games
Brett Jackson hit a solo homer but it wasn’t enough as Iowa lost, 12-4, to New Orleans on Sunday. Jay Jackson took the loss, giving up five runs on six hits and four walks over four innings. Brett Jackson is batting .259 now with 12 RBIs.
Brooks Raley gave up two runs on five hits over six innings in Tennessee’s 4-2 loss to Birmingham. Junior Lake had two hits, including a double and a triple.
Austin Kirk gave up two runs on six hits over seven innings in Daytona’s 5-4 win over Jupiter. Arismendy Alcantara had two hits, both triples, and drove in two runs.
Michael Jensen gave up five runs on five hits over 4 1/3 innings in Peoria’s 9-2 loss to Quad Cities. Paul Hoilman extended his hitting streak to 19 games, tied for third longest in Chiefs history.
