5/20 Minor League report

Chris Rusin gave up three runs on seven hits over six innings but took the loss as Iowa dropped a 6-1 game to Salt Lake. Brett Jackson tripled and scored a run, and Anthony Rizzo reached base twice with a walk and double.

Dallas Beeler gave up two runs on eight hits over five innings in Tennessee’s 3-2 win over Mississippi. Jae-Hoon Ha, Rebel Ridling and Justin Bour each had two hits. Ha hit two doubles.

Matt Szczur hit his first homer but it wasn’t enough as Daytona lost, 5-3, to Palm Beach. Eric Jokisch gave up five runs on eight hits over 4 2/3 innings.

Kyler Burke gave up six runs, three earned, on eight hits over five innings in Peoria’s 7-6 loss to Cedar Rapids. Paul Hoilman had two hits and Pin-Chieh Chen hit his first homer.
