6/3 Minor League report
Josh Vitters had two hits, including a double and his ninth homer, in Iowa’s 11-8 loss to Oklahoma City. Rodrigo Lopez, in his first start since being on the DL with a groin injury, gave up four runs on five hits over five innings. Brett Jackson had three hits, including two doubles and one triple, and was batting .265.
Dae-Eun Rhee gave up three runs, none earned, on five hits over 5 2/3 innings in Tennessee’s 4-3 loss to Montgomery. Jae-Hoon Ha had three hits and Rebel Ridling had two.
John Andreoli had three hits and one RBIs in Daytona’s 10-5 win over Fort Myers. Nelson Perez had two hits and three RBIs. Ryan Searle picked up the win in relief.
Javier Baez hit his first pro homer and Taiwan Easterling hit his first of the season in Peoria’s 15-3 win over Kane County. Baez, the Cubs’ No. 1 pick in last year’s Draft, had three hits and three RBIs. Jose Rosario gave up three hits over seven shutout innings for the win. Wes Darvill had four hits and one RBIs.
