6/11 Minor League report
Anthony Rizzo hit two home runs to raise his season total to 20, and Brett Jackson and Juan Apodaca also homered in Iowa’s 14-3 win over Nashville on Sunday. Chris Rusin got the win, giving up two runs on six hits over seven innings. Rizzo had three hits and four RBIs and now is batting .363. Jackson had two hits, a stolen base and three RBIs.
Eric Jokisch gave up one run on three hits over 7 1/3 innings in Tennessee’s 4-2 win over Mississppi. Jokisch is now 3-0 with a 1.40 ERA. Nate Samson had two his and one RBIs.
Austin Kirk gave up one earned run on five hits over six innings in Daytona’s 5-4 loss to Tampa. Roni Torreyes had three hits. Elieser Bonne walked in the seventh and eventually stole home.
Paul Hoilman hit a three-run homer in the fifth to help Peoria beat Kane County, 4-1. Starling Peralta gave up one run on four hits over three innings. Javier Baez reached twice with a hit and a walk and stole a base.
