6/13 Minor League report
Chris Volstad gave up six runs on six hits and four walks over five innings in Iowa’s 9-4 loss to Omaha on Tuesday. Luis Valbuena hit his eighth homer, a two-run shot in the ninth. Ty Wright had two hits, including a double.
Tennessee had Tuesday off and resumes play Wednesday against Birmingham. Dae-Eun Rhee is scheduled to start.
Eduardo Figueroa gave up two runs on five hits over three innings in Daytona’s 8-3 win over Brevard County. Nelson Perez had three hits including his 11th homer. Greg Rohan also had two hits.
Zeke DeVoss hit a double and drove in a run in Peoria’s 5-4 loss to Beloit. Michael Jensen took the loss, giving up three earned runs on six hits over 4 2/3 innings.
