So… I get it’s Anthony Rizzo Day in Chicago today, but starting tomorrow, do we now start the watch? Maybe Josh Vitters? I’d say Bret Jackson, but I know we have that logjam in the outfield again with LaHair moving out there.

was supposed to read: “now start the (insert the next piece of the future) watch?”

The only logjam is Soriano. Once he is traded or DL’d we will hopefully see Jackson. As for Vitters…why not? Stewart doesn’t look like the answer and although Valbuena is showing signs of hitting and he does field adequatley he’s not enough to keep an ACTUAL THIRD BASE PROSPECT off the roster.

My question is on Junior Lake. He seems to be doing well at AA offensively, but is blocked at SS at the major league level by Castro. Some have mentioned a move by him to the outfield. Has he played out there at all? Can he play 2nd base? Is he a defensive liability no matter where he plays? I am looking forward to seeing what he can do.
