6/27 Wells DFA’d, Dolis up & Soler could be coming

Randy Wells was designated for assignment on Wednesday, and Rafael Dolis recalled from Triple-A Iowa. The move opens a spot on the Cubs’ 40-man roster, which could mean the team is close to signing Jorge Soler. There is a July 2 deadline — which is Tuesday — to complete the deal before new restrictions kick in regarding international signings.
