7/2 Minor League report
Brett Jackson had two hits, a double and triple, plus two RBIs and one stolen base in Iowa’s 13-12 loss to Nashville. It was his third straight multi-hit game. Dave Sappelt hit his fourth homer and Josh Vitters had three hits, including two doubles. Adrian Cardenas and Blake Lalli each had three hits as well.
Nick Struck gave up two runs on five hits over five innings in Tennessee’s 3-0 loss to Chattanooga. Justin Bour had three hits, including two doubles, and Jae-Hoon Ha hit a double.
Matt Loosen gave up four runs on six hits over six innings in Daytona’s 5-3 loss to Lakeland. Rebel Ridling had two hits, both doubles, and one RBIs.
Starling Peralta gave up three runs on four hits over eight innings in Peoria’s 7-2 loss to Kane County. Taiwan Easterling had three hits and Dustin Geiger had two hits.
Dong-Yub Kim hit a solo homer in Boise’s 2-1 loss to Tri-City. He also hit a double in the game. Jeimer Candelario had two hits, and has hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games.
Daniel Vogelbach had four hits, including his first pro home run, in Mesa’s 9-7 win over the Athletics. Vogelbach also tripled and drove in three runs. Carlos Escobar and Izaac Garsez each had two hits.
