7/6 Minor League report
Brooks Raley gave up one earned run on five hits over 6 2/3 innings in Iowa’s 3-0 loss to Omaha on Thursday. Josh Vitters singled, and now has hit safely in 17 of his last 18 games. Raley did notch his fourth quality start, striking out four.
Tennessee and Jacksonville did not play because of rain Thursday.
Kyler Burke gave up two earned runs on seven hits over five innings in Daytona’s 5-2 loss to Dunedin. John Andreoli had three hits and stole a base, his 29th.
Zach Cates threw 4 2/3 scoreless innings in Peoria’s 2-1 win over Burlington. Cates struck out five. Dustin Geiger hit his sixth homer, a solo shot. Javier Baez had a hit and a stolen base. He was named to Baseball America’s Midseason top 50 prospects list.
Bijan Rademacher hit his first home run, one of two hits, in Boise’s 7-6 win over Tri-City. Marco Hernandez had two hits and two RBIs.
Justin Berg gave up six runs on four hits and one walk in one inning in a 12-11 win over the Angels. Tim Saunders was 5-for-6, scored four runs and drove in three.
