7/8 Minor League report

Alfredo Amezaga had three hits and one RBIs in Iowa’s 5-4 win over Omaha on Saturday. Jim Adduci, in his first game with the team, had two hits and one RBIs. Jeff Beliveau picked up the win in relief, throwing two innings.

Dae-Eun Rhee gave up two runs on five hits over six innings in Tennessee’s 6-3 loss to Chattanooga. Logan Watkins had two hits and two RBIs.

Arismendy Alcantara hit his seventh home run in Daytona’s 6-5 loss to Lakeland. P.J. Francescon took the loss, giving up four earned runs on nine hits over five innings.

Dustin Geiger homered for the fourth straight game and Javier Baez hit his fifth home run in Peoria’s 5-3 win over Cedar Rapids. Baez had three hits and scored two runs. Hunter Cervenka picked up the win in relief.

Tayler Scott threw six shutout innings in Boise’s 4-0 win over Yakima. Jeimer Candelario had three hits and one RBIs. Scott struck out four, and is now 1-1 with a 1.61 ERA.

Hunter Ackerman threw three shutout innings in Mesa’s 11-1 win over the giants. Tim Saunders had three hits, including a home run, and Rafael Lopez had three hits.
