7/18 Soler to play Thursday

Jorge Soler, the Cuban outfielder who signed a nine-year, $30 million deal with the Cubs earlier this month, will make his pro debut in a Arizona Rookie League game on Thursday. Soler was expected to be the designated hitter for the Mesa Cubs. He will play in the outfield on Friday. Albert Almora, the Cubs’ No. 1 Draft pick, also has been working out in Mesa, but has yet to get into a game.

Where are these games played and how do I get tickets to the home games?

I think most farm teams have a grassy area that is free but you could probably find out at milb.com

The game will be played at the Cubs’ Fitch Park complex in Mesa, AZ, and yes, they are free to the public. Usually start 1 pm AZ time
