Hopefully Vitters will be brought up in Sept. if not sooner. The revolving door/Valbuena 3B thing ain’t getting it done. Vitters, left alone for all of Sept.
at third base should be able to show us something toward next season.

i’m with you about getting some prospects up and letting them play. i don’t think vitters has got it, though. by all means, let him try to prove himself–might as well make the most out of a losing season–i’m just saying i don’t think he’s gonna end up being the answer. javier baez on the other hand? it’ll take a couple years, but he could be there someday. he seems to get compared most often to a young gary sheffield.

Agreed Insveum, I too am not completley sold on Vitter but I’m getting tired of the guy just langishing in AAA. I am sold on giving him an opportunity to prove himself in the bigs or not. I don’t think a month in the bigs is gong to set his “progress” back any.

nope, i agree, not much to be lost by letting him play. same goes for jackson, while we’re at it, though with all his strikeouts, i have questions about him as well.

Well, I guess we’re just flat out wrong Insveum…you know what I mean?

how is is langishing in AAA? This is the first year he has been there. He still has a lot of needed polishing and thats harder to do in the bigs. He is only 22 so its not like its make or brake time as long as he keeps progressing. I would love to see him up in September though and I think he will get a shot. Jackson on the other hand I think needs to be kept in AAA let him know that he isn’t going to be rewarded for K’ing 40% of the time. We don’t want another Carlos Pena…….
