7/31 Congrats to the Garzas
Cubs pitcher Matt Garza announced via his Twitter account that his wife, Serina, gave birth tonight to the couple’s fourth child. Said Garza at @Gdeuceswild, “God has blessed my family with a beautiful baby girl … Welcome to the world my beautiful Summer.”
Garza is not expected to start until the Cubs’ series against the Padres, which starts next Monday in San Diego. Yesterday, he threw his first bullpen session since July 21, and so far, all has gone well.
