8/31 Iowa’s season ends early
Triple-A Iowa’s season ended Thursday night with a 6-1 loss to Nashville. The Iowa team will not play its scheduled weekend series in New Orleans because of Hurricane Isaac. The Pacific Coast League announced the four-game series will be canceled after assessing the conditions in New Orleans and surrounding areas. The Iowa team finished 53-87 with the loss Thursday.
