9/2 Minor League report

Logan Watkins hit his ninth home run but it wasn’t enough as Pensacola beat Tennessee, 3-2, on Saturday. Matt Szczur had a two-hit game, and scored a run. Eric Jokisch started and gave up one run over five innings, striking out five.

Matt Loosen gave up one run over five innings and picked up the win in Daytona’s 4-2 victory over Brevard County. John Andreoli hit his first home run, and stole two bases. A.J. Morris picked up the save.

Jeffry Antigua gave up six runs over 5 2/3 innings in Peoria’s 6-5 loss to Kane County. Bijan Rademacher had three RBIs and stole a base. Justin Berg threw 2 1/3 innings of shutout relief.

Boise finished the regular season with a 12-11 walkoff wiin, scoring twice in the bottom of the ninth to beat Everett. Stephen Bruno won the league batting title, finishing at .361. Daniel Vogelbach had three hits and three rBIs. Rafael Diplan picked up the win in relief. Ian Dickson started and gave up four earned runs over 3 1/3 innings.

Iowa and Mesa have wrapped up their seasons.
