9/14 Cubs lineup
Brett Jackson and Anthony Rizzo are back in the Cubs lineup for Friday’s game against the Pirates. Jackson has not played since crashing into the outfield fence in Pittsburgh last Friday. Rizzo has not played since a freak collision at first base in Houston. Here’s the lineup:
DeJesus RF
Valbuena 3B
Rizzo 1B
Soriano LF
Castro SS
Clevenger C
Jackson CF
Barney 2B
Rusin P
– Carrie Muskat

This is really good news! Glad they are both well enough to play. Maybe Jackson’s crash into the wall knocked some strike outs out of him as we really need him to fill an outfield spot next year, especially if Hoystein is able to trade Soriano.
Definately good news on Jackson and Rizzo. I have been wondering how the Astros pitcher is doing after getting hit in the face the other night. Hope he is okay, too. Glad to be back at Wrigley. Go Cubs.
Credit due to the shirts for sticking with our prospects for the most part in the final games. Spring training can be a real fooler in judging players as the regular major leaguers are out of the game by the 5th inning and our young guys would see only double A and Triple A players.
from 7/1 to 8/27, #Cubs Starlin Castro hit .240 w/.694 OPS. Since signing new contract on 8/28, he’s batting .308 w/.828 OPS. lol nice stat Carrie. Do you know if Soler is going to be in the lineup tomorrow or just taking BP?
Chico, did I miss that Soler has been called up to Wrigley???
I guess. Again, not sure if he’s doing anything other than BP like Almora did today but he’ll be at Wrigley.
pretty sure Almora and Soler and just up to get a look in practice/bp/ etc… they weren’t “called up” as far as I know
