The Cubs will kickoff the holiday season on Friday with a tree lighting ceremony at Wrigley Field. Chairman Tom Ricketts, outfielder David DeJesus, Hall of Famer Fergie Jenkins and Cubs fans and Lakeview neighbors will take part, starting at 5 p.m. CT at the corner of Clark and Addison streets. The 30-foot decorated holiday tree was donated by Christy Webber Landscapes. The tree-lighting ceremony will be followed by a free hour of ice skating at The Rink at Wrigley. The rink is open to the public in the Cubs parking lot at the corner of Clark and Waveland.

It is called a Christmas Tree, not a holiday tree.
Thank you to Christy Webber Landscapes for donating the Holiday Christmas tree. And a happy holiday to all.
