1/28 Winter League update
Cubs infielder Luis Valbuena and Cardenales de Lara need a win Monday. Lara and Magallanes are tied at two wins apiece in the best-of-seven Venezuelan championship series, and will meet again Monday. On Saturday, Valbuena went 2-for-5 in a 6-5 loss. On Friday, he homered in the fifth inning to lift Lara to a 3-0 win, and was batting .350 in the playoffs.
