2/26 Pitching updates
Scott Baker and Arodys Vizcaino both had good throwing sessions on Tuesday. Baker, coming back from Tommy John surgery, threw 25 pitches in a live BP session, while Vizcaino threw 25 in a bullpen session. If Baker stays on track, he could be ready by mid to late April. Vizcaino, also coming back from Tommy John, was not expected to be ready for big league action until later in the regular season.

That’s all good because as we all know this will be just a development year to see who sticks around for 2014. Both of these guys are very promising for late this season but more so in 2014 when the team should have an all new, SERIOUS outfield and third baseman, all of who shoud need no platooning or substitutions as the current players obviously need whether for defense, offense or…COMMON sense…
