3/5 Cubs lineup

We’ll have to find out if there was any argument between the Cubs and Rockies about using a DH Tuesday, which happened on Monday between the D-backs and Reds. Doubt it. Scott Feldman will make his second Cactus League start and also bat for himself for the Cubs at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. If you’re in the Valley, come to the game. This is a beautiful ballpark.

Can’t wait to see Ian Stewart take on Colvin and DJ in the battle of the trade…oh….I forgot….Stewart is a bust…..

This reminds me of the last time I saw a Cubs spring traing game, as the Rockies provided the opposition. However, the contest was at Corbett Field in Tucson. Several teams trained in Tucson at that time, and I believe not one club does these days. Please correct me if I`m mistaken. How fast conditions change. Sounds as though Salt Rivers Field is a brand spanking new facility. Imagine it was an incentive dangled in hopes the Rockies relocated for their ST facility.

I agree Joey the Stewart trade was a bust. In fact I have hopes Stewart is cut Friday.

Thankfully, the Dempster trade Hendricks and C Villneueva, the Maholm trade Vizcaino, The signing of Soler, selecting the best player available in the Draft, Almora, then 18 pitchers drafted and signed. Campnana for two 17 y/o pitchers, we wont even know the turn out on for 6 or 7 years, Soto for Loux, will make up for it.

Of course not to mention the huge upgrade in Scouting and staff. My favorite the upgrades to the IT department and staff. It will take time.

The Stewart trade was a gamble and risk that looks like it wont pay off. However, Hoyer and Epstein are doing great!!!!! What GM is good that dont take risks?

You nailed that jasper! Right on. At least Hoystein gambled on a position that needed addressing, so far there are WAY MORE positives than negatives with this new regime and I’m still giddy that Hendry is gone….

Haven’t seen Lillibridge play in a few days. Is he injured?
