3/7 Cubs interested in Cuban pitcher
The Cubs are reportedly close to signing Cuban pitcher Armando Rivero. The Chicago Tribune reported that Rivero had been in Haiti awaiting a visa, but has joined the Cubs Minor League camp at Fitch Park. However, Cubs sources said Thursday a deal has not been finalized. Rivero, a right-hander, was a closer for the Industriales in Havana, pitching with Gerardo Concepcion, who signed with the Cubs last year.

this guy tops out around 98mph and have been on the Cubs radar for a while now…. this will not count against our IFA funds due to the age so its a GREAT sign…. coudl possibly move fast…. definitely a bullpen arm due to mechanics and pitch count is what I have heard/read
We sure need some pitching!!!!! Not looking good as of today. We can only hope.
Right on White, sign as many arms as possible!!
